Vardousia mountains

This photo is taken from Marmaras. Marmaras is a village in the municipality of Spercheiada near Lamia in central Greece. It's situated south of Spercheiada, between mountain Goulina and the northern sides of Vardousia mountains. This is a view from the lower part of the village, called Kato Synikia (Lower Neighborhood). The mount that you can see far away at the horizon (to the north-west form where Marmara is located) is Tymphristos (or Velouchi) it is the mountain near the town of Karpenisi.

Here you can see Kato Synikia (Lower Neighborhood), of village Marmara, with snow in Winter

This is the road that leads from Marmara to Perlivoli. Perivoli is the firtst village you will come across after Spercheiada on your way to Marmara.

This is the mountain Goulina, just oposite Marmara. It is located northern of Marmara. Behind this mountain is Spercheiada, the head of the municipality of Spercheiada.

This is a view from the road leading from Spercheiada to Perivoli and then Marmara. The snow coverd mountains far away are mountains Vardousia.

The magestic Vardousia mountains, at the south of where Marmara is located. View from more than 1500m altitude
