Dream City, Drama, the capital of Greek Christmas

For seven years in the city of Drama (North Greece) is been organised a beautiful christmas feast. This feast has its own place to accept all the visitors. It's called "Dream City". It has became the centre of Christmas, here in Greece. Drama has became the capital city of Christmas.

Ski resort of Falakro in Drama

210 km away from Thessaloniki and 44 km away from city of Drama there is a beautiful ski resort, one of the best in Greece. The advantage of this resort is that there are no trees, so there is much space for the ski slopes. It is the best tourist resource not only of Drama, but of the wider region of East Macedonia and Thrace too. The snowfalls usually start at the mid-November, but the road network remains always open.


There are different kinds of lifts, even 3 baby lifts too. The ski slopes are at least 20, of a total length bigger than 22 km. Falakro ski resort combines tracks for tourism and skiing sports, endurance road tracks, footpaths course, mountaineering (E6), rich snow conditions, free horizon, stunning sunshine, easy access and convenient parking spaces.




This place has special beauty even in spring. At the beginning of spring and early summer summertime soil run with a colorful carpet. It is the famous wildflowers of Falakro, with their large numbers and especially the huge diversity, convert from tip to tip Falakro mountain in a botanical paradise. It is a rare and amazing spectacle, which resumed with almost exactly the same every spring.


The view from the top of Falakro mountain is terrific. Someone can see Thasos island, which is more than 100 km away, but only with clean atmosphere. The view also includes Nestos river and some other tall mountains.
