Drama, Greece
Drama is a city of 45.000 inhabitants, 156 km away from Salonica. It's a city with big history, many things of tourist interest and hospitable people. It's a place with much water and many parks with green. Drama is known for it's night life, and also for it's tasty food. There are a lot of taverns, which offer all traditional Greek tastes.
There is a place near the center of Drama, called "Agia Barbara" (Santa Barbara), which is full of water, streams and lakes. It's a good solution for the hot summer nights.
Something that's worth to see is the old city of Drama with old but renovated houses.
On the fourth of December is celebrated the feast of Drama, the feast of Santa Barbara. The previous night children make little boats and let them sail on the waters of a lake in "Agia Barbara".
Near the city there is a small mountain, called Korylovos. Up there the view is terrific. You can look at the whole city, many villages and the plain of Drama. Some people like to jump from Korylovos and fly with gliders.
