Rapsani, On The Southern Slopes of Mount Olympus
Rapsani, a village of Tyrnavos's province in the prefecture of Larissa, is built in the slopes of Mt Olympus in 550m altitude and abstains from Larissa 37.5 kilometers. Built in the slope of small Mt Sopotos, overlooks the Aegean Sea. The healthy, dry climate, the luscious water, the eminent wine and unlimited magical view with the surrounding natural beauties, render Rapsani an excellent place for unforgettable holidays.
There are two squares in Rapsani. The central one is flag stoned with local stones. Round the square and under the planes and sallies, there are cafes, rotisseries and confectioneries. In the mornings the elders of the village are gathered in "kafenedes" in order to enjoy their coffee under the dew of the planes. The day continues with a taste of locally produced "tsipouro" and meze. During the nights people are gathered in the square for a glass of wine and in order to it enjoy kebabs that dominate in all rotisseries. The square has also bars packed with young people that remain open till the first morning hours.
